    I/O error while trying to install

    I tried to install Kubuntu, and got the following error:
    Code:
    end_request: I/O error, dev sr0, sector 1432752
Buffer I/O error on device sr0, logical block 179094
    From the main menu, I chose "Install Kubuntu". After this I got a loading screen, and then the error. I couldn't even start the install. The error seems to repeat every 10 seconds or so until I manually shut down the computer.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    /dev/sr0 = Your CD/DVD drive

    Either the drive has a problem, or the CD/DVD has a problem.

    Code:
    end_request: I/O error, dev sr0, sector 1432752
Buffer I/O error on device sr0, logical block 179094
    The drive can't read that block on the CD/DVD.
