What Fun

Attempted dual booting with Kubuntu 8.10/Fedora 10, Kubuntu installed fine I was even able to load video card driver without a hitch. Installed Fedora 10 on same drive for a dual boot but I lost Kubuntu, it's still there I just can't boot to it. I know there's a way to fix this, there has to be. Would appreciate help, thanx!!!

Now that you have Kubuntu booting up you can go into Fedoras /grub/boot int. File and Copy and Paste Fedoras Boot into Kubuntus /grub/boot init. file. I had to do this a while back when Ubuntu and Puppy Linux wouldn't play well together. Its been a while since I've done it. I have moved on to other Operating Systems since then. So I am a bit rusty on exactly how I did it. You can also copy and paste Ubuntus /grub/boot file Into Fedoras /grub/boot Menu. I remember having to use Gedit to do this. Hopefully some other member a little sharper than me can give you exact steps. You would have been better off installing Fedora first and Kubuntu second. Kubuntu would have picked up Fedora on the grub install.

Man, I don't run Kde any more. I use Icewm, Fluxbox. and Gnome Desktops. Look in Kde for something Like places. It should show you cdrom and hardrive plus partitions. One of those Partitions should be your Fedora Install. Right click it and select Mount and then start looking through root for /grub/boot.

Yep, Kubuntu should pick up Fedora if its installed after Kubuntu. I remember reading that Fedora wouldn't pick up Windows even on a dual boot install.

Yeah, I'm a bit tired. Load Fedora first, then Kubuntu second.
