    Wireless Problems

    Hey all

    I have a Sony Vaio VGN - NR32M laptop and the wireless isn't working. I am new to ubuntu so i am not sure what to do.

    The wireless is switch is turned on as the LED light states this.

    I am only able to connect via a wired network.

    The "dmesg" command produced a huge output and picked up that 12 smileys were used, i guess to do with the colons and the characters in the output.

    You have an Atheros chipset and the correct modules are being loaded. Have you tried using the Network Icon, in the system tray, next to the clock?
    It should be all ready to go, after you get the WPA/WEP keys.
