ubuntu installation problem
hi everybody,
im new on forum and ubuntu stuff
normally im using windows xp but i want to install ubuntu as secondary os, i dont want to make anything my main built-in hard drive (the hard disk on the computer)
i have a zen (mp3 player ) there is a hard drive in that ,thats why i want to install ubuntu on that
i split 8 gb section as partion when i was install ubuntu ,during about %15 the installation fail and here it is
`the ext3 file system creation in partion #1 of scsi5(0,0,0) failed`
ive not found any solution yet ,i guess its a very specific errror ,u guys have any idea ?

I don't know if this is the case but I can fathom a hardware manufacturer protecting the track 0 of the device so that it would not be able to be corrupted by boot sector virusus and or render the device unable to perform its function. If this is the case, you will not be able to install any OS on it.
You're better off using a real external hard drive or flash drive.
