    Kubuntu Live Disk Boot Problem

I have booted up once already, but when I plugged an external drive into one of the usb ports, linux crashed.

When I re-booted, kubuntu doesn't load fully - it stops with:

busybox v1.10.2 (ubuntu 1:1.10.2-1ubuntu6) built in shell (ash)
enter 'help' for a list of commands

    (initramfs)

It then just sits at that prompt without doing anything else.

How can I get kubuntu live to load from this position?

It doesn't like my external drive

It crashed if I plug it in - and does what I described in the first post if I leave it plugged in.

Any ideas how I can make it work?
