Internet through stick
i am a complete novice(im only 14) in computers and dont really understand alot of the answears for this. Can u dum it down for me please? I have a computer downstairs with the internet from a modem. my brother has got a usb stick thingy which lets him have the internet. both these use windows. i have linux ubuntu 8.04 kernel aparently. What stick do i need to buy to connect to the internet? even better if you could send me a link to a well known site like amazon or play.com.
please help me im dumb! help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I need more information. How is your brother connecting, as in, do you have a router that he is hooking up to with WiFi to share your Internet connection? Does he pay for Edge/3G (Cellular) internet? I need to know what that stick is.brother has got a usb stick thingy which lets him have the internet.
Ussuming it is a WiFi stick, here are some Linux friendly options:

its a usb stick that connects it to the modem downstairs. i will try to post the make and model of that shortly (when he gets up!) Thank you!!!
