    Libstdc++(GLIBCXX_3.4.9) not found

    This error is haunting me whereever i go, It started because im trying to build a .so dynamically linked library, that needed a newer version of it. Now Its bothering me on slackware because i cant upgrade it and on ubuntu because i did upgrade it.

    ive tried to remove it using apt-get remove but, i get the error apt-get :/usr/lib/libstdc++.so.6 version (GLIBCXX_3.4.9) not found required by /usr/lib/apt package

    and ive tried to reinstall with aptitude and got the error aptitude :/usr/lib/libstdc++.so.6 version (GLIBCXX_3.4.9) not found required by aptitidue

    sorry for my non exact errors, im not copying and pasting it.

    is there a way to reinstall and "go back" like windows to old installs, or original packages,

    does anyone know how to resolve this error on slackware i know thers a differnt bulletin for that, but im mainly concered with my ubuntu OS being in operable.
