The last that I heard was that there is no wireless driver available for all Linux distros. The only driver that I know of is part of Yellow Dog Linux, and you would have to install that distro to get use of their driver.
There may be some hacks to get it to work. You may need to search the internet for that. I believe the network driver is called "gelic".

Ok so its either wired connection on ubuntu or download yellow dog

Does a PS3 have a USB port? Maybe getting a USB wireless is the easier way out.

Sorry what i mean is it is a linksys wireless network adapter that connects with a usb cord

It would need to be set up like any other wireless. Read through the sticky linked to below, and post the info that it tells how to find. Make sure that The USB wireless is plugged in, preferably before booting.
