Net Banking With Live CD.
Hi,
I use Live CD, just only for Banking. I feel this as Safe, because the PC will not be affected virus by my windows virus, if any.
Are there any loop holes needed to be plugged, so that I can run Live CD and do Banking.
Is there any dangers using Live CD for Banking.
Thanks,

I run installed Ubuntu. Live Banking is safe for me. Running off of Live CD should be OK. I am just a regular Home user though. Maybe some other members will chime in.

I think LiveCD's maybe one of the safer ways of using online banking, provided that you are using a browser with strong encyption methods. With a LiveCD you do not have to worry about leaving cookies behind, websites will not remember your login name/password after rebooting. I'm sure there are other reasons why it's safe.

I honestly think there are ways of being as safe using a installed distro....maybe that's just me though, I don't stress too much over these things because...well, I just think that I'm more likely to be killed in a car accident than have my accounts hijacked as long as I'm safe (ie firewall, make sure bank accounts are secure with good passwords, etc...)

Just to throw in on this, if Linux was installed to your harddrive it wouldn't be affected by your Windows viruses either. The only conceivable way is if your Linux drives were mounted in Windows and they were trawled for personal information. Other than that, you'd be as safe as you can be now.
I mean you can be too paranoid, you know? How do you know your LiveCD can be trusted!
