    Build kernel module in ubuntu

    Hi all,

    In my school project I have to write program in linux kernel, so for tht I have to build kernel module in linux. I am totally new to linux and started liking it.

    I have win xp and I have installed ubuntu 8.10 in vmware. So I would like to know how to build kernel module in ubuntu and to run a sample hello world code in that.

    There is kernel module programming HOWTO or a guide available from The Linux Documentation Project
    It's give a an example HELLO WORLD program.
