    run VBox

    Downloaded & install VBox on my Ubuntu 8.10 but there is nowhwere to be found to run it.
    Home build, Asus P5K Premium WiFiiFi Intel,
    Intel Core 2 Quad Pro Q6600 2.4GHz, OCZ Cpu Cooler,
    2x2GB, DDR2 800, GeForce 9800 GTX , Excelsior sata 250gb,
    OCZ 600W Psu, X45, XPpro sp3/Ubuntu 8.10

    Isn't it in Applications->Accessories or Applications->System Tools?
    If you type virtualbox or VirtualBox or vbox in the terminal it should run, so make a new entry in the menu.

    Thanx, as of magic there it is sitting in System Tools.

    Appeared now perhaps after the restart, but did not tel me it was needeed.
