Radeon Xpress 200m video card
Hello ive been having alot of questions related to installing my Radeon Xpress 200m video card and so far ive had alot of success. I installed the driver from the restricted repositorys(i think) and finnally got it "activated" on kubuntu. Everywhere i go i have someone telling me to edit ect/X11/xorg.conf but when i go there i get a very small file and sometimes its even empty. ill post the non-comment portion of the file here
Im now trying to use wine to play starcraft and i did the suggestions about the Registry edit where i set DirectDrawRenderer to opengl and used virtual desktop but now its blinking rapidly eventhough the frame rate is now good. Im betting that it has something to do with poorly installed graphics card and the xorg.conf files.Code:Section "Device" Identifier "Configured Video Device" EndSection Section "Monitor" Identifier "Configured Monitor" EndSection Section "Screen" Identifier "Default Screen" Monitor "Configured Monitor" Device "Configured Video Device" EndSection
Any help?

Hi and Welcome !
If 3D effects are working fine then there is no need to configure xorg.conf file manually.
In case you are facing Display lags, try to re-install ATI Driver using Envy.
Install envyng package through Synaptic Package Manager and execute sudo envyng command in Terminal. It will re-install ATI Proprietary Driver and fiIt is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
