    No Flash Despite Ubuntu-Restricted-Extras installed

    Hi All,

This is on behalf of another user that I've been helping out through private messages but this has me stumped.

He has installed ubuntu-restricted-extras, I actually had him remove and reinstall just to be sure. It seems like everything else works fine but flash refuses to work.

When I asked him to install the nonfree-plugin and see if it spits out that it's already installed, it does in fact do that. I've never had an issue with this so I'm a bit stumped. Anyone have any suggestionis?

I assume he's using Firefox? You've checked that Firefox is detecting the flash plugin via about:plugins? You might try downloading the flash plugin directly from adobe's site and installing it that way.
