Anyone know how to fix a screen saver issue? I have posted this before and was told:

"The screen saver issue is probably because direct rendering is disabled, and your frame rates are low."

I don't know how to enable the direct rendering or alter the frame rates. The only way I can get out of my screen saver, besides disabling it in the first place, is to unplug the power cord and force the laptop into battery mode. This brings it out of suspend mode and I get my desktop back up. I haven't changed any settings in regard to my screen saver, so I don't know why this started to happen. I am using the preinstalled fireworks screensaver, and now it is choppy with a delay and isn't fluid anymore, plus is locking me out and won't "wake up" when I move my mouse or strike any keys.
