Ubuntu Jaunty + the future of Ubuntu?

So, what are everyone's first impressions of Jaunty? Now that it's RC and about to become final, any comments? I've been using it for awhile now and have some likes and dislikes...

my biggest dislike is the new Usplash, everyone seems to think it looks crisp, I think it looks horrible. I tried changing it and I can't...not sure if this is a bug or what but I downloaded a .so file and went through startup manager as well as tried brute force manual through terminal and it won't work (instead it just goes to text loading instead of with the bootscreen)

I also included a poll to see if you all think that Ubuntu is heading in the right direction.

I haven't installed Jaunty yet, but I'm perfectly happy with how Ubuntu is evolving. Plus, even Shuttleworth is bored with it being brown now, so that's good.

I installed the GNOME release client 9.04 and I like what I see, the overall appearence is much better than 8.10 and it seems to setup my drivers better, no tweaking needed

Has the final release candidate been released yet as stated on website, I've the Ubuntu site but can only find 8.10 and 9.04 beta.

The final full release will come out today (Thursday the 23rd). It's just not officially linked yet.

I am doing a network upgrade from Ibex as I type, I hope everything goes well
In case I screw up, I have another working partition with Fedora.

What I am mostly excited about is the official Netbook Remix version!!
I currently use Easy Peasy on my Acer Aspire One (Linpus was sooooooo limited), but having it supported directly from Canonical is a big Plus.

I wouldn't be surprised. There was only a week between the RC and the final, so that's not a lot of time for a bunch of fixes. Not to mention "RC" generally means "as close to bug-free as we can get."
