    port 80 close

Hi, I need some help. According to http://www.t1shopper.com/tools/], my port 80 is close. On my firestarters, the system is not blocking port 80. however, my http download is very slow even though I have cable. I'm getting about 50-70kbs from megaupload. Usually I get about 150kb from megaupload before I install ubuntu. How do I fix this? Thanks

OK, the fact that port 80 is closed will not affect your internet access. It will stop people connecting to a web server on your computer.

Unless you are running a public webserver, this is a good thing.

Can you provide a bit more detail about you cable hardware.

    USB? Network?

If USB open a terminal and run lsusb, post the results back here.

My new blog. It's probably not as good as I think it is.
