I just went to the ppa site listed on the guide you posted and followed the links to dists>Jaunty.

I don't use Ubuntu, but I believe you just need to copy and paste the key as a text file, then open System>Administration>Software Sources and click the Authentication tab.
Then select Import Key File, select the file you made and you should be done.

Is that what you did and it didn't work?

yes that is exactly what i done, i have done this with a different key before on 8.10 so i dont understand why it does not import to the list?

Seems i am not alone with this problem, more info here but unfortunatley no fix as of typing this massage:

Here's what I used to get that key to work:

gpg --keyserver subkeys.pgp.net --recv CE90D8983E731F79

Then

gpg --export --armor CE90D8983E731F79 | sudo apt-key add -

Finally

sudo apt-get update

I could not understand or make heads or tails out of that instruction fthat reed posted.

wow cheers m8, starting to get somewhere now, i done what you said but got some errors near the end of the terminal output, here it is and when i try to use update i also get errors which i think maybe that i dont have the correct repsitories installed, hopefully you can help:
