    Help about kernnel panic-not syncing

    Today moring i update the Ubuntu 9.04 and run the NTFS support,after that i open
    my music player and open th firefox after a while ,it crumbled.I restarted ,but meet
    kernnel panic-not syncing:VFS:Unable to mount root fs on unknow wn-block(0,0) ,
    what can i do

    Hi and Welcome !

    Boot up in Rescue Mode and run fsck command on root partition.
    In case it doesn't work, post the output of fdisk -l command here. You can execute fdisk -l command in Rescue Mode or use LiveCD of any distro.
    It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
