new to linux, but deleted partition
hello everyone.
i have a problem with my ubuntu install, i couldent access the internet through the wifi or network card so decided to delete ubuntu and try another linux distro but i de;eted the partition that linux was on so now when i start up my netbook it comes up with error 22 for the loader, i have read that you can use a cd to fix the problem but i havent got a cd drive on my netbook so i dont no what to do.
please help.

How did you originally install Ubuntu? Did it come pre-installed? Do you have Windows installed also?I do not respond to private messages asking for Linux help, Please keep it on the forums only.

hi, sorry i installed linux myself form a usb stick, and yeah its dual boot so had ubuntu and xp installed.

Well, you could try installing Ubuntu from USB again, or you can install Ubuntu into Windows with wubi.

with the error 22 i cant do anything. i cant load up windows or linux. sorry my first post didnt describe the problem very well did it, i had just woke up and was tired.

Oh man, my bad, I should have realized this too. Do you have a floppy drive? you might be able to fdisk the MBR and let windows rebuild it.

nope no floppy drive either. thats the thing with these new netbooks its a pain in tharse to install anything!!!

Opinion varies a bit ... see poll here. Ubuntu comes high up the list ... what is making you change from Ubuntu? There is a netbook version ...
