    avm wlan stick usb

I hope someone can help please.
I have xp pro, wubi, windows 7 and vista on 1 hd not partioned. Not an expert but know a little. To get on line with xp or wubi have cable to avm router 7170.
My daughter has vista and wubi can get on line with windows over wlan to router.
How do we get wubi to go on line with same wlan.
Will read all answers as my daughter would like to try wubi.

First thing is to find out the chipset of the wireless card you're using. You already have Ubuntu installed via Wubi and can boot into it? Please read this and post the requested info.

    avm wlan stick usb

    I thankyou for reply.
I do not have a card.
    I purchased a router set-up was a cd took 3 minutes and 1 reboot.
The wlan I just plugged into router and waited 30 seconds.
The wlan was put in usb of daughters computer was found by windows and went on line in under 1 minute just had to type in 1 long number.
I can get on line no problem with windows or ubuntu I am connected with cable to
router, I know windows is PPP over dsl and ubuntu is pppoE over ethernet but both work.
I am trying to get daughters computer on line with ubuntu, maybe cannot be done,
she gets on line with windows ok.

By card, I am referring to the wireless chip in your USB stick. If you plug the USB adapter into your computer under Ubuntu, open a terminal, and type lsusb, it will give you some information on it, which, hopefully, would help us figure out if it is compatible with linux and what you might need to do to get it working.

If there are no linux drivers available for it, you may still be able to get it working using a program called ndiswrapper combined with windows xp drivers.
