    Hi,

    I'm trying to install AVG8.5 and I download it, double click it and install it via the DEB installer and it starts, installs BUT it doesn't finish, when it starts updating the man pages it hangs. It just stops on processing triggers for man-db.

    If I quit it then it seems the AVG program isn't installed as I can't seem to run it, anyone else have this problem??

    It sounds like you are trying to install a .deb file directly? If so, it is possible that it didn't download successfully. Have you verified its checksum? If good, what about a different version, or from a different mirror?
