    hi l want to be linux ubuntu in my acer laptop but when l boot my computer with the cd ,it boot alright but the display is not clear you cannot see only lines .

    plz be spesific, u mean that it doesn't boot at all or what?
    it gives ya an error?
    may be the ISO or CD is corrupted
    Dual Booting Ubuntu 10.04, Windows 7

    Which version of Ubuntu are you trying to boot?

    when l boot with linux ubuntu third version it boots but the display is not clear you can not see anything on the screen.

    Press Alt+Ctrl+F2. It will switch to Command Line prompt.
    Execute this
    Code:
    cat /etc/lsb-release
    sudo lspci | grep -i vga
    Post output here.

    Press Alt+Ctrl+F7 to switch back to GUI.
