    How can we find out the internet connection type (i.e whether dial up or broadband ) on linux?
    Is there any command to get this information? If not how can we find it?

    Welcome to the forums!

    If you aren't having to dialup a connection when you go to connect, it's probably broadband. What kind of connection are you being billed for?

    I want to know is there any command from which I can get this information?
    I need this info to fill up one of the fields of a file which requires the internet connection type.
