it says initramfs then i m suppossed to enter some type of commands. in order ti continue.

sudo update-initramfs -u -k 2.6.17-10-generic is a command someone used to fix this problem back when edgy eft came out. Your kernel will be newer, so the k number will change. I'll see if I can find out which one you should have. What number Kubuntu did you use? 8.04, 8.10, 9.04?
