How do I change the boot splash screen in Jaunty?
I tried startup manager, but that didn't do the trick. Apparently, Jaunty no longer uses Usplash, so all of my custom splash screens won't install.
I also tried compiling from source, but that didn't do it either. No matter what I try, it just dumps into verbose mode on boot.
How on earth do I change that default Ubuntu boot splash?
