hey guys
i use ubuntu 8.10......my ISP has two PPPOE server.
one of ther server authenticates through CHAP and other other through PAP
i want to use only PAP as my account is in tat server !
i tried 2 connect my net through pppoeconf ...but all the time i start a connection
it authenticates only CHAP and fails...i want to disable CHAP and use PAP all the time
in /etc/ppp/options i removed # sign from - chap which lead to new error
LCP terminated by peer as it authenticates in CHAP server
i think pppoe is not able to discover my PAP server
is der ny way to store the mac address of server so tat it always authenticates a particular server ?
