    [SOLVED] ubuntu 9.04 display


    hi,
    i newly installed ubuntu9.02 ...i have 18.5in LG monitor. but ubuntu display is working in 800*600 .. how to change the display 1024*768 and above.. there is no option to 1024*786 and above ....

    Have you install Nvidia Driver through Hardware Drivers option in Administrative Menu?
    It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

    Thats what I suggested you to do.
    Have you tried to install it through Hardware Drivers option?

    Execute this in Terminal :
    Code:
    sudo lspci | grep -i vga
    grep -i driver /etc/X11/xorg.conf
    Post output here.
