Change username for live user
Hello,
I'm presently booting from a USB, and the default username is "ubuntu", and the default name of my computer is "ubuntu".
I tried to go to System > Administration > Users and Groups, but only the username "root" is listed there...as if the user "ubuntu" never existed...but on the terminal I can see I am "ubuntu"...
Anybody can explain why this is so, and how I can change my username please?
Thanks

Its a better option to remaster the CD using your own username, using Ubuntu reconstructor.

Post the contents of /etc/passwd here. You can see all users in the passwd file, whether they are interactive logins or service related.
