Reinstall XP without any change to Ubuntu
Hi guys. I really need your help.
I run both XP and Ubuntu on my laptop. But recently my XP works slowly and I wanna re-install XP on my computer. That comes the problem, i don't know how to re-install XP without any change to my Ubuntu. I really don't want to format my hard-disk and then install XP and Ubuntu consequently.
Any help? thanks

Welcome to the forums
Open a terminal and post the output of
here. We will then know disk partition structure. I also suggest you get yourself a copy of SuperGrub.Code:sudo fdisk -l

You can reinstall Windows in its own partition again. The only trick is putting Grub back on as your bootloader, which you can do with any Linux livecd (preferably the Ubuntu disc you installed from). The only exception is if you installed Ubuntu using the Wubi installer so it's installed within Windows.
Post the output of Jonathan's command above and we can start from there.
