[SOLVED] Ubuntu true black turns green with resolution change

I think I found the solution to this a while back, but didn't implement it since I was borrowing the hard drive it was installed to. I can't for the life of me find it now. How do you fix this? I installed Ubuntu and changed the resolution. Well the color was fine, but once I changed the resolution black turns to this lime green. I don't know how to fix it. I have had this on a couple installations (same hardware) and I think on a liveCD.

Hmm so apparently it's not an issue in 8.10. Upgraded and now it's not a problem. So nevermind sorry to waste pixels.
