    Code Warrior Equivalent

I recently switched from Window Vista to Ubuntu( Jaunty ) (btw I will never go back), and now I have a problem. One of the classes I am currently taking requires the use of CodeWarrior for Freescale HC12. The software came with the textbook but only works with windows. I was wondering if anyone knows the Linux equivalent of that particular software as I can not make heads or tails of the Freescale website Linux downloads.

    Welcome to the forums!

Your best course of action would probably be to try your luck at running it under WINE:

WineHQ - Run Windows applications on Linux, BSD, Solaris and Mac OS X

Thanks ozar. I installed wine and everything worked great until the setup.exe for CodeWarrior was unable to retrieve a driver from Windows. I dual-boot so I guess I'll be forced to use Windows =(. Thanks for the help.

    You can try using eclipse.

Freescale loves open and closed source equally ? The Register

You can try running CodeWarrior using VirtualBox, instead of dual-booting.

You can buy CodeWarrior for Linux.
