    Ubuntu in Ipod classic

    hey, im kinda new in all this linux stuff, and just getting started with it... can anybody tell me if i can get my new ipod classic 120 gigas with linux in it?

    I'm using that exact model and they work flawlessly. The only iPods that give trouble are the Touch, new Nano and iPhone.

    I use Amarok to manage mine. Once you plug it in it will appear as a second collection "iPod" beside the usual "Local Collection". You can just drag and drop as you need to. There appears to be a bug regarding artwork with this latest Amarok but it has worked in the past so hopefully that'll be fixed soon.

    You should also be able to use Rhythmbox which is included with Ubuntu, as all iPod access is done through libgpod in the background.
