Hi,
I recently bought a flashdrive with ubuntu on it. It worked the first and second time...Now it only boots to the point where it would go to the opening window..then the screen blanks and that is it...
zilch from then on..anyone have any answers for me please....Incidently, the same thing has happened with the mint flash as well.

Is it a live USB drive? Or could you save your changes in it? Like bookmarks in Web Browser.
2 things come to mind.
Where did you purchase these drives from? I ask because if these are ebay drives they are cheap and prone to breakage because they are cheap.
What file system are they formatted to. EXT2, or EXT3? I ask because a jourrnaled/journaling file system like EXT 3 is very hard on USB drives.Linux Registered User # 475019
