while trying to upgrade ubuntu 8.10 to 9.10 from a dvd which i recieved from linu for you magazine, with the command "gksu "sh /cdrom/cdromupgrade" ...

upgrading 8.10 to 9.04 from dvd error
hi all pl help me
while trying to upgrade ubuntu 8.10 to 9.10 from a dvd which i recieved from linu for you magazine, with the command "gksu "sh /cdrom/cdromupgrade" it come out with a error after spending nearly one hours internet usage, the error message is "ailed to fetch cdrom:[Ubuntu 9.04 _Jaunty Jackalope_ - Release i386 (20090421.3)]/pool/main/z/zlib/zlib1g_1.2.3.3.dfsg-12ubuntu2_i386.deb Hash Sum mismatch
Failed to fetch cdrom:[Ubuntu 9.04 _Jaunty Jackalope_ - Release i386 (20090421.3)]/pool/main/z/zenity/zenity_2.26.0-0ubuntu2_i386.deb Hash Sum mismatch
Failed to fetch cdrom:[Ubuntu 9.04 _Jaunty Jackalope_ - Release i386 (20090421.3)]/pool/main/w/wget/wget_1.11.4-2ubuntu1_i386.deb Hash Sum mismatch

then i tried another command $" sudo apt cdrom add", it also bring with an error message like "Failed to add the CD
There was a error adding the CD, the upgrade will abort. Please report this as a bug if this is a valid Ubuntu CD.
The error message was:
'Unable to locate any package files, perhaps this is not a Ubuntu Disc or the wrong architecture?'

have you trie going to update and clicking on the button at the top that say upgrade to 9.04 that should work.
