    Two hardware problems

Let me mention, I'm running Kubuntu Jaunty Jackelope 64 on a Toshiba Satelite L305D-S5893

So, All of my hardware has been working perfectly except my cd/dvd player/burner and my SD reader. I haven't tried listening to any CDs from the drive but DVDs show up under plugged in devices, and will play the government warnings before the movie, but never past that. The SD card doesn't even show up on the plugged in devices. I don't know what kind (brand? or what terminology you prefer) the devices are, but I'm sure I can find out if that helps.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Sincerely,
    Stinkoman

You'll probably need libdvdcss to play movies if you haven't installed it already.

You can check this HowTo on playing DVDs:

Thank you for that! My DVD player is working perfectly now!
Now all I need to work on is the SD drive. Probably crosspost this on the Ubuntu forums.
