    printer problems Canon MP450

Hi, I'm new here have just got Ubuntu 8.10 installed and working as a dual boot trying to get my Canon MP-450 printer to work.It displays it in the printer setting as default printer I have downloaded the driver for Canon S600 (bj8pa06n.upp) yet when I print all I get is a blank page?
I am still finding my way round Linux with the help of textbooks etc so any help would be most welcome.
    Thank you

i just had a quick look for that printer in the printer settings in 9.04, and couldnt find it. So hopefully the driver you got should do the trick. The Canon Pixma MP-500 is there. you could try that setting to see if it work, proberly wont however. The good thing is that it is kinda printing....

my printer isnt printing text at the moment because it ran out of ink.
