I have linux mint 7 on a flash drive but the puppy keeps filling up:

rootfs 1008M 956M 1004K 100% /

This is on a 8 GB flash drive, but I understand the OS gets installed on a ram drive (rootfs) to save read/writes. The issue is the size of rootfs (at least as near as I can understand) is just half of what your memory is so this can't be increased. Is there any directory I can delete to free up space? Is it possible to move on the folders off of the ram drive (rootfs) and onto the rest of the flash drive which has plenty of room?
