    Question Xubuntu boot splash shows blank screen

    The problem persists with the entire Ubuntu family, but as I currently use Xubuntu, I was wondering if there is a way to fix the boot splash screen. Currently, the boot screen just shows a blank screen.

    I've tried changing the resolution in /etc/usplash.conf and that didn't work. Any suggestions would be helpful! Thanks!

    My monitor is a Samsung SyncMaster 710v.

    EDIT: I forgot to mention, the boot splash works on the live CD. Perhaps the options set on the live CD would work? Does anybody know those?
