    Wireless help

So, my wireless card has been working fine until today. I've been using jaunty on a 64 bit processor.
For the past month everything has been fine, but today it just stopped recognizing my wireless internet. I don't have another computer to check and see if the router is the problem or if my lappy is. Any suggestions to see if my lappy is to blame or not?

Have you looked at the network manager. If you left-click on the icon you will see what interfaces are available to connect with - it might have disconnected for some reason. If you right-click on the icon you can access the setup pages. Also, if you have disabled the radio with Windows, you might have to re-enable it from Windows before Ubuntu can find it.

Well, when things go fubar like this, one has to ask what you were doing before it went snafu. Something like your wireless subsystem doesn't just disappear without something else causing it.

the last thing I can think of was a system update last night. Is there any way to undo that?

Hmmm. I've see other postings here where an update of Ubuntu seems to have caused the wireless to stop working. I'd have to say that you should go to the Ubuntu web site and see what they are saying about this. Myself, I've done a number of updates on my Ubuntu laptop since this was reported and haven't had any problems, but that doesn't mean that you are crazy...

Keep in mind, I can't entirely rule out my router. But thank you for all that you helped with, I'll go check with them.
