    Occasional boot lockup/kernel panic...

It happens on boot-up, not too often. The 'sequence' of the last 10 items or so is a call trace, 184.xxxxxx, and the last item is 184.362681 common_interrupt , then the lock-up, 5 times or so in the last month.

I don't believe this is a hardware error (HP dv 9xxx, not used much).

Is this a resource conflict? Kernel bug? I didn't get a screenshot. Is the diagnostic info logged anywhere?

The Kernel Panic error occurs while you try to custom configure the kernel source or kernel file corrupt, for this you can simple download the kernel & install the default configuration which will work fine.

    Thanks...

It is now in the default configuration.
