You should be able to reset any regular user permissions as needed if you gain root permissions using su, sudo, or gksudo.Last edited by oz; 07-06-2009 at 07:55 PM. Reason: oops, edited wrong post

Quickly:
If you go to |main menu->System->Administration->Users and Groups| and click the "Unlock" button and use the password you would for sudo, then click "Properties", you can configure those options, also - if this is what you mean ...
