i have all of my music in the default music folder for Ubuntu (i have 9.04), and i just add my new files in there when i download them. so, through rhythmbox, to update my library i just go to music > import folder > music
and that updates it.
however, this also undoes any changes i make to my artist info. for instance, i have some blink-182 in there. however, whenever i update my collection, some of it reverts to "blink-182", some to "Blink-182", and some to "Blink 182", which annoys me. i change it each time, by right clicking them and editing them in Rhythmbox, but it always gets undone when i update it. is there any way to fix this? maybe a way to permanantly edit the id3 tags?
