    Unhappy Ubuntu and radio blues...

I have been trying to install qradio in Jaunty. I seemed to manage to convert the .tgz to .deb and install the package - at least there were no errors reported but... I can't find the application on any menu.
So, I tried again to install the file manually but, upon using ./configure I get the following error about checking for X... configure: error: Can't find X includes. Please check your installation and add the correct paths!
I have attached a screenshot of my Terminal workings: I think...

I also tried installing XMMS2 through Synaptic but, again I see no icon in any menu...

    Am I missing something?

    Cheers...

    Try typing in
    sudo qradio
    and see what you get.

    Also do the same for

    sudo xmms2

All my applications appear in usr/share/applications. Navigate there with your file manager and look for it.

If you had those 2 apps installed you would have gotten a readout with some errors (on why they can't open) or they would have opened up. Looks like you didn't get them installed. I can type xmms in terminal on my Antix install and bring up the player from there. Same thing (I don't use qradio, but I use Streamtuner instead) when I type in streamtuner. Installing xmms2 through synaptic should have gave you xmms2. I don't know why it didn't open up?
