    Unhappy Mac Hardrive Reading

    Hi I am fresh to linux, as in i just started like 4 hours ago. I am trying to recover some data from my macbook hardrive but I can't access certain files because I don't have "permission" to access the file. The thing is, is that it isn't asking me for a password to access the files.

    Does anybody know how to acess the files and get pass this denail of acess?

    [Alt + F2]

    gksu nautilus

    (your password)

    The file browser that comes up should have full access to all disks (as long as there's no encrypted areas). Use it carefully.
