    ati driver problem

    ok so i have a problem with ati drivers but when i try and post what my terminal is saying i get an error on this website saying im not allowed to post urls even though i clearly did not type any in the post i downloaded the driver from ati's website and when i try to install it starts then just stops with an error, if you think you can help message me and ill try to reply with what my terminal says idk what else to do with this forum.....

    You shouldn't need to manually download anything from ATI.

    In Ubuntu there should be a hardware applet on your dock bar. If you open that up, it should have a check box for your ATI card, Simply check it and press OK. The applet will download and install any necessary files for you.

    If you do not have a check box, then you might have a card the applet doesn't recognize. This is okay, there's an easy proceedure for that too.
