Help installing programs

I have Downloaded a few games for linux on a computer with windows and transferred them to my linux computer because my linux computer dose not have internet

so can i still install or play those games on to my linux computer
if so how?

and yes i am new to linux

Installing software under Linux depends on the file type of the package that you want to install and the distro that you are running. You can check this HowTo for a number of different ways to install software in Linux:

It's generally best to use the default package tool for your distro whenever possible because it will usually pull in all dependencies that might be needed.
