boot mythbuntu from usb
I am not entirley sure if this is the right place but since I am asking about mythbuntu im putting my question here. please move it if there is a better place
I have use a minimal cd to install mythbuntu on a flash drive that i had sitting around and I want to be able to use it to watch some dvds, and pull audio from my server so I can play it through my usb Sterio system. The laptop that i want to use this for has a dead HDD and i am not sure if it is the jack on the board or the ribbon so i want to use the usb for now (and be able to edit fstab). The install went fine and I installed GRUB on the Flash Drive, when I went to reboot however the computer did not see the Flash Drive and it looks like there was no power. The computer is supossed to be able to boot from an external FDD or SDcard but when select this option it still does not see the device.
Do i need a kickstart cd? and if i do where can i find one/instruction to make one? i would rather not use a standard live build
