DVD source plugin help?
First of all I would like to say thank you for having a forum for help with Linux issues. I am a nuub who has just installed Ubuntu 9.04 for the first time and seem to be having problems playing DVD movies on the default Movie player. It says unable to find DVD source plugin and tries to search for one with 0 results. Can anyone shed some light as to what I need to do?

Not sure, but you may want to try another media player (sometimes you will get different clues as to what is wrong from different software; some software isn't very helpful about indicating what the real problem is; open up Adept and search for 'dvd'; VLC is a good choice). If you haven't done so already, I recommend adding the Medibuntu repositories (google), which have more stuff (codecs, etc.) included than the default ones.

libdvdcss is required to play dvds. Install it if it's not installed already.

You need the medibuntu repos to install libdvdcss2. Here's more info.
