I have an empty hd available (250 GB), wich I want to use only for Linux Kubuntu.

Use gparted (the partitioning program) and you should be able to select the second hard disk. I think there is a spot in the upper right hand corner where you can change the disk. It's been a while, I last used it to partition a usb drive, so that might not be the right spot exactly, but I know that the option is there.

It's worth noting that Linux does not use drive letters like MS Windows. Your "C:" drive may be identified as something like /dev/sda and your extra drive may be /dev/sdb or sdc. Don't quote me on that, though. Those letters are different depending on what kinds of devices you have plugged in to your motherboard.
