Repairing Windows Changed partition type from ext3 to NTFS

Not sure how it happened. I have Windows XP, Windows 7, and Linux installed on sda. All of my data on sdb1 which is the whole drive. I was trying to fix Windows XP because it wouldn't boot. In the process I broke Windows 7. I'm not too disappointed about that. What sucks is for some reason my data drive was change from ext3 to NTFS. I'm fairly sure all of my data is still there. I can't access the ntfs partition.
